Transport Malta will be only be de-registering/scrapping a vehicle, if the vehicle owner presents a certificate of destruction issued by Mile-End Autocheck Ltd confirming that the vehicle was transferred to the treatment facility in accordance with the Waste Management (End-of Life Vehicles) Regulations.

The vehicle owner must first bring the vehicle to Mile-End Autocheck Ltd and the vehicle will be scrapped in accordance with the Waste Management (End-of Life Vehicles) Regulations.

Mile-End Autocheck Ltd will issue a Certificate of Destruction and will submit it to owner. This certificate must be presented to Transport Malta during the scrapping/de-registration process.
